My group decided to just post on here to talk about it, so don't pay attention to this...

We're starting when Hale comes in--page 36, in my book.,
So the characters needed:
Hale
Parris
Rebecca
Mrs. Putnam
Mr. Putnam
Giles Corey
Proctor
Abigail
Betty
Tibuta
We don't have that many people, but we can most likely double-cast a few--or have Betty be a dummy...

Hi guys! So, I was thinking...
Some of the characters have really small parts, so maybe the people who don't have a lot of time to devote to this can have those. Like the ones in Band, or going camping, or in gymnastics. Those people should have the smaller parts, unless they want other ones.
I for one have more time than others over this weekend, so I could have one of the larger roles, like Abigail or Tituba. Or something like that.
This needs to run smoothly, so only say you need the small parts if you truly do. Since we need to double cast, then some people could be two characters who are not "on stage" at the same time.
So the class knows who everyone is, we could just introduce ourselves in the beginning or something. Also, if anyone has 1 or 2nd off on Tuesday, or whatever then who ever has those same off hours could practice with them. Whatever works for you all.
We are the first group, so let's make this amazing!

I went over all of our part, and this is what I've come up with--
Hale, Parris, and Betty are really the only characters that need to stay the same for the entire play. Before Tibuta or Abigail even enter the set, Mr. and Mrs. Putnam, the Proctor, and Rebecca leave the set. So those roles would be the easiet to double-cast, etc.

i am happy to double cast as anyone just put me where you need me...and i am also happy to do bigger roles cuz i love this kinda stuff ^.^, so just tell me where you want me
p.s. what are we doing for the costume sitcheeeation???
So, everyone who has been on this blog so far, or who has looked at it, pick the character that you want to be for our production, and write it on this blog, we can tell the others who they will be, we will just have to pick their roles for them. I am happy to be both Abigail and Rebecca, if that is fine with everyone else. Okay? Please do this by the end of Sunday, so we have an idea of what to work with on Monday. See ya then!
